The JRP GearX 52mm Digital Oil Pressure Gauge Kit is a compact, high-quality solution for monitoring your engine’s oil pressure in petrol or diesel vehicles. Designed for both performance cars and off-road 4x4s, this gauge actively tracks oil pressure and alerts you with a built-in warning if levels drop too low, helping prevent costly engine damage.
Featuring a 0–150 PSI range, the gauge offers two readout styles: a digital numeric display in the center and a scale-style readout around the edge. Each kit includes a high-accuracy 3-wire 0–5V oil pressure sensor, superior to traditional VDO sensors, ensuring precise readings. The LCD screen allows 10 color options, and the gauge can be mounted using the included gauge pod or a pillar mount kit.
Why Oil Pressure Monitoring Matters
Monitoring oil pressure is critical, especially for performance engines. While oil temperature indicates when oil is thinning, it’s the pressure drop that signals your oil is losing its ability to lubricate bearings effectively. Different oils handle heat differently—some start thinning at 120°C, others at 135°C—so tracking both oil temperature and pressure helps you choose the best oil and protect your engine.
